Nestled within the elegant surroundings of Hertfordshire Manor, this bathroom transformation was designed to complement the property’s traditional character while introducing a sense of modern luxury and comfort. The homeowners envisioned a space that would feel both classic and contemporary — a soothing retreat that respects the home’s architectural heritage yet provides all the amenities of a modern spa.
At Jago Interiors, our goal was to balance heritage-inspired design elements with sleek, modern finishes, creating a bathroom that feels timeless, sophisticated, and deeply relaxing.
Design Approach
Our approach began by studying the natural light and proportions of the existing space. The manor’s high ceilings and large sash windows provided a beautiful foundation, allowing us to introduce a freestanding bathtub as the centrepiece beneath the window — perfectly positioned to take advantage of the natural light.
We combined traditional panel detailing and soft neutral tones with contemporary brassware and marble-effect tiles, ensuring harmony between old-world charm and modern elegance. The bespoke vanity, crafted in painted wood with a quartz surface, complements the overall scheme while offering generous storage and timeless appeal.
Lighting was layered carefully — classic wall sconces paired with hidden LED accents create a versatile lighting atmosphere that transitions easily from bright and functional to calm and ambient.
